This is SPINAL TAP!! or umm Just a Lumbar Puncture

A lumbar puncture is a sterile procedure that is also referred to as a spinal tap. The purpose is to obtain cerebrospinal fluid or CSF from the spinal cord. During the procedure a needle is carefully inserted into the spinal canal between Lumbar 3-4 or 4-5 Vertebrae in the lower lumbar area. Samples of CSF are then collected and sent to the lab for analysis.
