Atrial Rhythms The Abnormal Ones!

Abnormal Cardiac Rhythms can be Acute or Ongoing . This is often the or the result of an underlying condition– Recognizing the rhythm is the first stage of treatment. All patients should be monitored in Lead II,V1 unless otherwise ordered. Ongoing telemetry is mobile monitoring via leads in either 3 or 5 lead placement if there is an abnormal finding on telemetry an EKG or 12 lead may be anticipated to further evaluate the arrhythmia or dysrhythmia.
